After a long corporate career, I retrained as a healthcare practitioner in 2009 initially focussing on reflexology and then acupuncture, graduating from the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) with a BSc (hons). My research project explored the most effective way to treat menopausal hot flushes.
Both empathetic and results focused, I have been helping patients for over 12 years, working in a variety of clinical settings including establishing a busy 4 practitioner general practice in the heart of Cobham, Surrey.
After many years of seeing first hand the enormous difference I could make to women’s lives by working with them to balance their hormones, I became passionate about hormone health.
My style of acupuncture integrates classical Chinese Medicine, contemporary acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Five Elements and Stems and Branches. In addition, I have Chinese Herbal Medicine Diploma Level 7.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and British Menopause Society. I have been invited and appeared as an expert to speak on radio, women’s groups and podcasts. I have had a number of articles published. I was also proud to be part of the volunteer team at The Fountain Centre, based at The Royal Surrey Hospital Guildford.
