Mon-Fri: 8am to 7pm & Sat: 8:30am to 5pm
I operate a hormone specialist acupuncture clinic and have supported many women over the years to understand their symptoms and help live life to the fullest.
I am a member of and work under the British Acupuncture Council guidelines.
What to expect?
Each acupuncture session is around an hour.
Once I have explained what will happen I will ask to look at your tongue and take your pulse. Both are important diagnostic tools in Chinese Medicine and provides more clues as to how I can help you and your symptoms.
The needles are precisely located at points to connect with your body’s qi or energy.
After our detailed consultation, points are decided which are right for you covering every aspect of your health and lifestyle.
I use needles that are so fine that most people don’t feel them being inserted. It is normal to feel a mild tingle or dull ache as the needles may be adjusted. While the needles are in place most people feel deeply relaxed which can continue after they are removed.
I treat many patients who are anxious about needles or are needle phobic. I work with them very gently and carefully to make sure the treatment is always a good experience. Often after the first session they comment that they wished they had come sooner as it has benefitted them so much.
My style of acupuncture practice is an integration of classical Chinese Medicine, contemporary acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Five Elements and Stems and Branches.
How many sessions you will need is completely dependent on the severity of your symptoms and how your body responds. Some patients need only 1 or 2 treatments to feel better others may need to commit to more.
Results are very much my priority so we will regularly be reviewing as objectively as possible any changes you are experiencing.
I do often have a waiting list and will inform you on booking how long this is.
Many of my patients travel from quite a distance to attend in clinic sessions (some travel for over 2 hours) however if this is not logistically possible please visit my online herb consults site www.themenopauseherbalist.com.
